Community associations are entering another pool season shrouded in the COVID-19 pandemic. The vaccines rollout put 2021 ahead of last summer, but virus variants and other unknowns should forestall assumptions of business-as-usual for associations this year.

This spring, CAI surveyed nearly 1,000 members about their pool plans for 2021. In general, many community associations are operating their pools with the same restrictions in place as 2020, but the success of vaccinations combined with pandemic fatigue is creating pressure for community associations to relax those rules.

What are communities planning as swim season starts?

Pool Position has the latest information and details.

In CAI’s special report, you’ll have an opportunity to review 2021 survey results, learn how other communities are planning to operate their pool this season, examine the latest safety guidelines, and gain access to sample documents you can adapt for your community.

Pool Position is free for CAI members and $19.99 for nonmembers.
